You could use the AutoCAD LISP, but you will be able to call only the current implemented AS commands. There are not many parameters that are available directly, to be used in the command line or in AutoCAD LISP. For example, you cannot indicate a specific section to be used when create a beam. The Advance Steel Visual Lisp is not supported anymore, as far as I am aware. So it is not helpful in your case.
