Hauppauge Alternative

A rather odd question (when do I ask any normal ones?) but some of our lab workers use an ancient microscopic camera that runs into an old television which then runs into a Hauppauge TV input card on an old XP machine. That machine is due to be replaced, but I have run into significant problems getting the included software (WinTV 2000) to work on Windows 7.

The card drivers themselves, though, seem to have installed fine. Therefore, has anyone ever chanced across an alternative to WinTV that you would care to share?
