The 150 or so Verizon Priv users probably would not bring the network to its knees! You'd think that in all this time since June they would have done testing on their network. This means they have only sold 150 phones so far. And out of those 150 owners, only 3 people have paid off their phones.
So Verizon only released the update to 3 people so far. Moral of the story: pay off your freaking phones. So in another thread it is mentioned that you can update to a newer security release by using a autoloader.

Also, remember (everyone) that using an Autoloader generally will wipe your device. You will have to restore apps and settings and accounts, etc. Some might be easily restored when you re-use your Google ID/account. Hands down, this is the most ridiculous thing I have willingly put myself through. You know, we waited for a long time, a real long time, before Verizon had officially announced they would carry this handset.
Then we went through the same process waiting for this release, which is really only incremental at best. And I swear we waited longer for this one. If the last few security updates were not tied to this release, I would care for it even less. Doze, don't need it.
You know, when we finally got our Privs many commented that it was then a 'year old' handset. Obviously, it wasn't, but we are getting a year old OS. Nougat dropped in late August; Samsung was slow to release MM, but is expecting to roll out N soon. LG already has rolled out for G4, G5, and v10.
HTC is claiming to roll out by end of 2016. And a few others. What about BlackBerry? Who knows, but I'll bet TCL pushes out BlackBerry's version of N to DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 before BlackBerry can get it going for Priv. What about us Verizon Priv owners?
